Some people talk too much I wish they’d leave me alone
They say that they’re not judging while pelting me with stones

They’ve confused me with somebody else that probably gives a damn

I’ve got friends that support me, they always wish me well
There are people that I've never me, that wish I’d burn in hell

But I’m payin’ for my sins with the installment plan

The wages of sin are death and I was born in sin
But now I can refinance and be born again

They say Jesus was a carpenter that was his full time gig
Before the book came out and then he made it big
He had many followers and some loyal fans
If I was his agent, I’d be a wealthy man

I’ve seen his name on coffee mugs and face on dinner plates
They say there’s a gift shop beyond the pearly gates
I’d like to buy them up but I don’t think I can
I’ve maxed out my credit cards & I’ve got no cash in hand
But I’ve found a way to pay with the installment plan
