Austin was like a second home with the kindest people I've ever met
And the shows at the Armadillo are some I'll never forget
But I ran into trouble in Conrow with some cowboys long ago
Cause everything is bigger in Texas including assholes in San Angelo

You can hear great music in Texas from Tejano to rockin' blues
Willie & Waylon and ZZ Top and Stevie Ray just to name a few
Some still sing Bob Wills' the king and remember the Alamo
But now they've crossed that line and I think it's time
To give Texas back to Mexico

They can argue all day about the right to life but I never take the bait
The most executions in this country come from the lonestar state
So if you're passin' the buck sayin' all politicians suck
